Site Design

The ethos of this site is all about enabling people to learn and share ideas by means of computers.

In line with this I have chosen to copyleft my webpages. This means that anyone is free to copy the content or coding of my pages with the proviso that:

  1. I am notified of this (it is nice to know when people are interested!)
  2. Recognition of the source is publicly given.
  3. Any financial or any other restrictions on its further use and distribution is not allowed.

The internet is the result of a living, breathing community of writers, designers, artists, scientists, thinkers and communicators. We need to give each other all the help and recognition we can to make 'surfing the net' a more fulfilling experience, for everyone.

I will be writing here further words on the ethics of the use of computers, Open Source Software, and the design of accessible web-pages. Such issues are important and I believe should not be taken for granted.
